Celebrating 10 Years in Business

Over the past decade, Entegrity has built a successful business around our core vision — creating better buildings for a better world. We’ve evolved from humble beginnings to become one of the most trusted names in environmental building solutions, helping businesses and other organizations to reduce their carbon footprints while improving their operations and energy costs or bottom line.

Our journey has been incredible, filled with memorable experiences and remarkable accomplishments. While it was hard to narrow it down, here are ten accomplishments that reflect the hard work of our team over the years:

1. Our headquarters achieved the first LEED Zero Energy certification in the country.

Entegrity retrofitted the 13,342-square-foot historic Darragh Building in Little Rock, Arkansas, to create a high-performing headquarters that earned LEED Platinum certification in 2019. In 2020, it was awarded LEED Zero Energy certification, becoming the second building in the world and the first in the United States to earn the designation. LEED Zero certification builds on LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), the world’s most widely used green building rating system, by validating and recognizing specific achievements in building operations toward net zero goals. Entegrity Headquarters qualifies as net zero energy since, over the course of a year, the renewable energy produced on-site satisfies at least 100% of the facility’s energy needs.

We continued this work in 2021, bringing the NetWork Building to life in Fayetteville, AR: a highly sustainable mixed-use facility that houses Entegrity’s Northwest Arkansas office along with 28 market-rate apartments. The 27,000-square-foot building features a 115-kilowatt solar array on the roof and is in the process of NetZero certification.

2. We pioneered a new business model.

In 2013, Entegrity Energy Partners was formed through the merger of Viridian, a forerunner of Entegrity Consulting, and Nabholz, an ENR Top 100 contractor with 70 years of building and facility maintenance experience. By combining our unique strengths, Entegrity Energy Partners has brought a brand-new business model to energy efficiency, offering clients complete solutions with implementation capabilities.

3. We’ve helped 109 school districts save on energy costs through energy and efficiency improvements, solar and energy storage, increasing sustainability, and other energy services.

And the schools have done amazing things with the savings these investments generated, such as creating a better learning environment for students or increasing teacher wages, like the solar project at Batesville School District. The district partnered with Entegrity to install 759 kW of solar on two campuses along with upgrades in lighting, energy efficiency, and water efficiency.

A portion of the energy savings went back to the teachers as pay raises averaging $2,000 to $3,000 per year and up to $9,000 per year for some long-time employees.

And we were mentioned on The Kelly Clarkson Show. You could say we’ve waited a whole (business) lifetime for a moment like this.

4. The arrays we have built that are operational or are pending installation will produce a total of 95,611,707 kWh annually.

  1. This renewable energy production annually reduces CO2 emissions equivalent to the following:
  2. 67,758 Metric Tons of Carbon Dioxide
  3. 1,120,390 Trees Planted
  4. 75,899,739 lbs. of Coal Burned
  5. 156,721 Barrels of Oil Consumed
  6. 2,932,963 Trash Bags of Waste Recycled Instead of Landfilled
  7. 2,568,110 Incandescent Bulbs Switched to LED
  8. 13,184 Homes’ Electricity Use for One Year – Based on the US average of 2.58 ppl/household, you could say our solar arrays are offsetting the equivalent of all homes in Benton, AR!

5. We’ve grown to over 100 professionals in nine locations across Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Tennessee, Florida, Missouri, and Kansas.

Our team includes professional engineers; architects; electricians; LEED Fellows and Accredited Professionals; certified commissioning professionals, technicians, and authorities; certified energy managers; field and energy auditors; thermographers; certified green classroom professionals; construction experts; and many, many more employees who have achieved a wide range of accreditations.

Their training and expert knowledge gives our clients peace of mind knowing all work has been done in line with top industry standards.

6. We’ve switched over one million light bulbs from existing technologies to LED through Entegrity’s turnkey program.

We act as a one-stop shop for LED upgrades, providing auditing, design, installation, commissioning, and performance measurement and verification services. After realizing the potential for manufacturing our own products, we now also offer over 50 different types of lamps (bulbs) and fixtures, streamlining the retrofitting process even further for clients.

LED retrofitting is an easy way to modernize historic buildings. Along with other upgrades, our team helped Lane College, a Historically Black College in Tennessee, upgrade its lights to save on operation and maintenance costs across the campus.

7. We’ve helped 120 architects and general contractors help their clients achieve their sustainability goals.

We rely on our industry partners to encourage clients to invest in building features and upgrades that increase operational efficiency and sustainability. Often, we find the most effective advocate for energy services work is a third-party firm the client has already engaged. Thank you for trusting your relationships with Entegrity.

8. We achieved NAESCO Accreditation.

The National Association of Energy Service Companies (NAESCO) is widely recognized as the top advocacy and accreditation organization for Energy Service Companies (ESCOs). As stated on their website, companies seeking NAESCO-Accredited status must apply to a committee of industry experts and undergo a rigorous examination of their core competencies and business practices.

Entegrity is one of only 18 companies to currently hold this accreditation in the ESCO category.

9. We’ve worked with kids to help generate interest in sustainable energy consumption and related careers.

We’re committed to engaging the next generation on all things energy. We want our work to be an extension of the classroom, so we’ve developed education programs that connect students’ learning to the operation of their school building. By creating measurable goals for sustainability and energy use and using interactive technologies to improve efficiency and verification, Entegrity introduces students to new ways of thinking about energy and the many career fields in our industry.

10. We’ve left it better than we found it.

“Leave it better than you found it” is a simple rule with profound implications. At Entegrity, we work every day to deliver energy solutions that go further to improve the built environment’s effect on the earth. We can say with confidence that for the last ten years, we’ve delivered on our vision: creating better buildings for a better world. We’re looking forward to many more years of collaborating on design and implementation solutions that create a more resilient future.
