Building a Resilient, Sustainable City
The City of Fort Smith is taking bold steps toward a cleaner, more cost-effective energy future. Partnering with Entegrity, the city is implementing four solar projects that will generate over 17 million kilowatt-hours annually, cutting costs and carbon emissions — all while supporting local communities.
Overview / Project Snapshot
Project Launch: Entegrity began collaboration with the City in April 2024. Construction of solar arrays is planned to begin in Fall of 2025.
Scale & Infrastructure:
- Nelson Hall Homes
- A rooftop array serving public housing residents, offsetting 92% of energy use — funded entirely by a Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG).
- Logan & Franklin County Arrays
- Two large-scale solar farms totaling 8.6 MW DC, powering city operations with clean energy.
- Downtown Farmers Market Canopy
- A 340 kW DC solar canopy is a symbol of the city’s sustainability goals — combining clean energy with community space.

Community & Environmental Impact
- 11,919 metric tons of CO₂ avoided annually
- (Equal to removing nearly 2,900 cars from the road.)
- Pollinator-friendly land use
- Supports biodiversity, improves stormwater management, and preserves green space.
- $100K+ in net annual savings
- Estimated $3.5 million in lifetime value to taxpayers and the city.
Entegrity’s Role
