In early 2013, Entegrity was hired to offer turnkey energy services for Christ United Methodist Church (CUMC) in Memphis, TN. The CUMC campus consists of nine (9) buildings of varying age, from 1957 to 1998. Over several years, the church had been experiencing rising utility bills and comfort issues, and had reached a collective decision to remedy these problems through a comprehensive energy project.
Entegrity’s Level III energy audit for this project uncovered a host of energy conservation measures (ECMs) for the church to consider. With help from our Preconstruction Team, Entegrity presented CUMC leadership with a comprehensive overview of the cost, savings, and incentives associated with each measure over anticipated useful life.
Following the IGA, the implementation of ECMs was divided into phases to comply with CUMC preference. From there, our Energy Services and Preconstruction Teams worked in tandem to identify a Design Team via a competitive Request for Qualifications (RFQ). Entegrity identified a qualified Design Team in the fall of 2013, and began finalizing the Phase 1 scope over the next few months. These efforts included designing the Phase 1 chiller and cooling tower replacement project, specifying materials and products, and bidding the work to qualified subcontractors and vendors.
