Lane College, a historically black college in Jackson, Tennessee, has undergone campus-wide upgrades to address energy needs as well as student and faculty comfort. The liberal arts institution, which has been providing accessible and affordable education for nearly 150 years, partnered with Entegrity to tackle deferred maintenance and invest in the areas where students spend the most time.
The scope of work encompassed over 600,000 square feet of campus facilities and included an LED lighting retrofit, water conservation measures, and HVAC upgrades to maximize energy savings. Entegrity also installed new aluminum windows to improve envelope efficiency and update the aesthetics of the campus’s buildings without compromising their historical appeal. These energy upgrades will save the college more than $550,000 a year on maintenance and utility costs.
Utilizing the savings produced by efficiency upgrades, Lane College has taken the opportunity to implement infection control and improve the indoor air quality of campus buildings to help ensure student safety.
