Project

Lyon College

Lyon College worked with Entegrity to successfully oversee the execution of a project to reduce energy costs and promote environmental stewardship.

The collaboration between Entegrity and Lyon College was based on two key agreements: a solar services agreement for providing energy through a 1,278 kW DC (1.3 MW DC) solar array, and a second agreement to install energy-efficient LED lighting in several campus buildings. The solar array covers approximately 30% of the college’s electricity usage, leading to substantial long-term cost reductions. Additionally, the installation of energy-efficient LED lighting further enhances these savings.

The college is projected to save approximately $2.5 million in energy costs over the life of the contracts. By providing solar energy at a lower rate than current electricity costs, Entegrity has helped Lyon College achieve significant savings and stabilize energy expenses.

“This initiative is a critical step in Lyon College’s commitment to sustainability,” said Lyon College President Dr. Melissa Taverner. “The college aims to reduce its carbon footprint and promote the use of renewable energy. By working with Entegrity, Lyon College is not only cutting costs but also investing in the future of sustainable energy on campus. This aligns with the college’s broader mission to be a responsible steward of environmental resources.”
