In Spring of 2019, Mississippi State University set out to find a partner to help it achieve its carbon neutrality goals. After a very competitive selection process, MSU ultimately selected Entegrity’s team because of our ability to self-perform LED Lighting, Solar Energy, offer Solar Service Agreements, and navigate the complex regulatory landscape to create a win-win outcome for all stakeholders.
With work complete, MSU is home to the Southeastern Conference’s largest on-campus solar facility, marking a significant milestone in MSU’s 30-year energy plan. This now operational 1.59-MW, 3,420-panel array is expected to produce approximately 2.4 million kilowatt-hours of energy annually.
In addition, Entegrity upgraded 54,000 lighting fixtures with LED bulbs over seven million square feet of campus. When combined with solar energy and other retrofit projects, the University will benefit from a 7,548 metric ton annual carbon reduction, save a total of 10,784,865 kilowatt hours of energy per year, and realize annual savings of $913,802.
