Building Testing

Through the use of large building fan pressurization testing, our experts are able to identify areas of air infiltration/exfiltration through the enclosure and to provide normalized air-leakage rates. The testing equipment, methodology, and personnel qualifications meet the requirements of the new USACE Air Leakage Test Protocol. In addition, our procedures for testing building air tightness are in accordance with ASTME E (2002) and ASTM E 779 (2003).

The US Department of Energy has stated that up to 40% of the energy used to heat and cool a building is due to uncontrolled air leakage.

Entegrity can assist your design team in implementing an air barrier system that will enhance the performance of your building and the comfort of its occupants.

Buildings exist to protect people from the elements and to otherwise support human activity they should not make people sick, cause them discomfort, or otherwise inhibit their ability to perform. How effectively your building functions to support its occupants, and how efficiently the building operates to keep costs manageable, are measures of the building’s performance.

Entegrity provides comprehensive indoor environmental quality plans in order to help sustain the comfort and well-being of workers and their environment. Our comprehensive approach reduces occupants’ exposure to harmful chemicals, increases the ventilation effectiveness, and reduces contamination from construction/renovation activities.

Indoor Air Quality Testing services are performed in accordance with the EPA Compendium of Methods for the Determination of Air Pollutants in Indoor Air and in accordance with LEED requirements for IAQ Credit 3.2. IAQ testing can determine the amount of various contaminants that cause indoor air quality problems such as mold, CO2, moisture, VOCs and particulates.

We also provide infrared thermography scanning to diagnose areas of building envelope air leakage, thermal bridges or missing insulation.

The infrared thermography and smoke tracer diagnostics are performed in accordance with ASTM C 1060 (2003), ASTM 1186 (2003), and ISO 6781:1983.

Water intrusion testingis used to evaluate the performance of installed products and systems to windows, doors, and exterior building facades. Entegrity works directly with the project team to identify areas to be tested representative of the entire construction site and provides reports that thoroughly document and illustrate the issues found during testing.

Entegrity's water intrusion testing process has been developed to meet and exceed American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) test standards and American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) test methods. As an independent third party consultant, we remain unbiased and neutral throughout the testing process.
